Nazar Evil Eye Earrings, Handpainted Ceramic Dangle Earrings

Ceramic hand-painted nazar (evil eye) earrings. In Turkish culture, the “nazar” image symbolizes the “evil eye”: the eye of jealousy which is thought to bring harm or misfortune. If one wears or displays the nazar, the eye repels that energy thereby dispelling any negative effects.

The ear hooks I use are hypoallergenic niobium. The nazar design is painted on with underglaze and then a glossy clear glaze is applied over that. Each earring measures about 1” wide.
